The Deep Cove Outdoor Education Trust is a non profit organisation that was established in 1971. The main Deep Cove Hostel, is a 50 bed building and was established for the purpose of enabling school aged children a unique opportunity to experience life in a remote part of the Fiordland National Park.

Wilmot lodge (Currently closed) - is located over the road from the school hostel, and was built to cater for smaller groups. While it is not being used by schools, we are at this time able to only offer the main school hostel to be used by the general public, along with the 3br flat located in the main hostel.(Wanganella Apartment)

While at Deep Cove, visitors have the opportunity to study the variety of flora and fauna in the region, experience light to moderate tramping in virgin native Podocarp Forest, go boating on the Sound, fish, and learn to interact with nature in one of the most remote places in New Zealand.
