Ensuite Cabin — Nightly

Situated close to the beach and the park facilities, our comfortable Ensuite Cabins are ideal for couples or families looking for clean, modern accommodation. We have 5 cabins with an ensuite shower room available.

Four of the ensuite cabins comprise a shared sleeping/living area which is equipped with a dining table and chairs, a fridge, a jug for making tea and coffee, crockery, cutlery and basic cooking utensils. They also have a TV with Freeview. The separate ensuite gives you the convenience of your own shower, toilet and hand basin, with all your linen and bath towels supplied.

Each of the ensuite units has its own covered deck, where you can relax and enjoy a drink or an outdoor meal.

Kotare Ensuite Cabin — Nightly

Situated next to the Reserve and the park entrance, this two room Ensuite Cabin is ideal for couples or a family of up to four people, looking for clean, modern accommodation.

There is a separate shower room, with toilet and hand basin, a small bedroom with Queen size bed, and a separate living area with pull-out double sofa bed. There is a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and basic cooking utensils, and a small hotplate). All your linen and bath towels are supplied and there is a TV with Freeview.

There is an outdoor deck with dining table and chairs, where you can relax and enjoy a drink or an outdoor meal. If you require a sun umbrella you can borrow one from Reception.

Our Standard Cabins offer excellent value for money. They are close to the action of the Holiday Park, an ideal home base for exploring Martins Bay and the surrounding areas.

Take an easy stroll to the beach for great swimming, a picnic, beach games or just a walk to enjoy the ambience. Enjoy a drink, or an al fresco lunch on your own covered deck.

Standard Cabins have a dining table and chairs, a fridge, an electric jug, cutlery, crockery and basic cooking utensils provided, and full access to the holiday park facilities. They are also equipped with a TV with Freeview.

Bring your own bed linen and towels (we supply bottom sheets, pillows and pillow cases).

Glamping — Nightly

If you love sleeping by the sea, but taking the tent seems like too much effort, then glamping could be for you. We offer pre-erected tents 5m dome tents complete with proper beds! Come glamping and you'll have more time to get out exploring.

Our Lotus Belle tents offer 5 x 5m of space or 19.63 m² and features zipable mesh windows and doors to ventilate and deter any flies and creepy crawlies! There is a Queen bed positioned to make the most of the view and single trundler beds with solid foam mattresses for extra guests. We provide all the bed linen, pillows and duvets. Please remember to bring beach towels.

There is a kettle, toaster and small 110L fridge plus cooking utensils, basic pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. Cooking and washing up facilities are available in the main kitchen area. Showers nearby are 50c and the BBQs in the covered dining area opposite the playground are free to use. We provide a dining table and outdoor seating.

Plateau Glamping — Nightly

Enjoy your own private sun deck and self-catering shaded outdoor kitchen. MBHP Family site — FamSite

We have several new family sites at Martins Bay Holiday Park designed to give you access to a slightly larger site for large family tents. The minimum occupancy is 4 adults, and is charged at the regular site per night tariff (peak $108; off peak $84); any extra guests pay the adult or child tariff and infants under 3 stay for free. We have one family site on the beachfront, site 82, which can only be booked by email or telephone.

Martins Bay Holiday Park has a great range of accommodation options and sites to choose from, including 2 self-contained tourist flats (one right on the beachfront, one up on the plateau), ensuite and standard cabins or the classic caravans with awning. We also offer the unique opportunity to stay in one of 3 Glamping lotus belle dome tents right on the beachfront or the one up on the Plateau with sea on one side and the bush on the other. We have a new Eco-structure also available on our beachfront - here we offer a more luxurious style of glamping!

You will find much more than just the basic camping facilities here to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are spacious and clean. All accommodation is provided with crockery, cutlery and cooking apparatus to use in the Kitchen - if you are camping don't forget to bring everything you need. There are 2 electric BBQs free for you to use in the BBQ area, next to the playground.

We also offer caravan and boat storage for guests who want to make regular trips to Martins Bay and don't want the hassle of taking the caravan, jetski or boat back and forth each time. Daily, weekly and monthly rates available.

Property Facilities

Martins Bay Holiday Park provides more than just the basic facilities to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

Showers/toilets: There are separate male and female bathroom facilities in the centre of the park, on the plateau, and at the northern end. The showers are coin operated for hot water, 50c for 5mins. The hair dryer in each facility is free to use. We have one accessible shower/toilet cubicle in the centre of the park which requires a key from reception. At the beachfront you will find outdoor showers to wash off the sand!

Laundry: Large coin operated dryers and washing machines for hot or cold washes (a $2 + $1 coin per cycle), clotheslines, tubs for hand-washing and ironing facilities are available. Washing powder sachets are $1.50 from reception.

Cooking: In the communal kitchen areas you will find cooktops, microwaves, fridges, freezers, toasters, continuous boiling water and sinks for washing up. You can also make use of our large communal covered BBQ area. The BBQs provided are free for guests to use.

Entertainment: We have a playground located right next to the BBQ and Recreation Room so you can enjoy cooking and socialising while the children play nearby. All the play equipment is new and offers a range of activities for youngsters. There is also a second playground on the Reserve next to the holiday park. There are books, DVDs and games to borrow from reception, and kayaks and boards to hire.

Boating and Fishing: Fully equipped for recreational boating and fishing our facilities include an excellent fish cleaning area, an authorised fish weigh station, boat cleaning facilities, ample boat and trailer parking, and an all-weather boat ramp.

Campervans and motorhomes: A dump station is available for paying guests to empty waste tanks. If your motorhome is particularly large or the tank if on the left-hand side you will find it easier to dump waste at the larger facility at Kowhai Reserve, on Highway 1, Warkworth.

General Room Facilities

Our cabins offer you all the advantages of the holiday park without needing a tent! The Tourist Flats, Beachfront Caravans and some of the cabins offer stunning views out to the beach and the waters of the Hauraki Gulf.

All units are clean and comfortable and offer excellent value for money. We provide basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, including a couple of pots and pans. There is a fridge, kettle and toaster in all cabins/glamping tents, and in the caravans we also provide a microwave. The self contained tourist flats have full cooking equipment.

Car Parking

Guests can park one vehicle on their site or next to their accommodation. Any additional vehicles can be parked on the Reserve opposite the park entrance. Boat and trailer parking inside the holiday park is available at $10 per night.

Location / Distances

Martins Bay offers a welcome coastal escape only an hour north of central Auckland. Located on the edge of a long stretch of sandy beach Martins Bay offers safe swimming, beautiful views, and brilliant fishing with Kawau Island and the Hauraki Gulf at your doorstep. Our closest towns are Warkworth, Matakana and Snells Beach.

Directions to Property

Martins Bay is a hidden gem, located on the Matakana coast, about an hour's drive north of central Auckland and less than 1.5 hours from Auckland International Airport.

Warkworth (20-25 minutes drive from Martins Bay) is the largest nearby town with a full range of services including post office, library, medical centres and two large supermarkets. On the way to Martins Bay is Snells Beach, where you will find a range of shops including The Warehouse and Dive centre, plus cafes, restaurants, takeaways, a chemist, petrol station and mini supermarket.

Past Snells Beach and Algies Bay you will follow the road out into the countryside for about 5-10 mins until you descend a hill into Martins Bay. Welcome - you have arrived!

Additional Information

Martins Bay is an ideal base for educational groups studying marine environments with easy access to the marine reserves at Goat Island and Tawharanui. We can offer a 'wilderness' camping experience in shoulder months for outdoor adventure groups or simply a quiet, spacious, fully-equipped venue for all sorts of other group adventure!

We have a full range of facilities to host groups of all sizes, including motor home or campervan touring groups and clubs, caravan clubs and rallies, fishing clubs and school camps. Martins Bay offers everything you need to make a truly memorable camping experience. Please contact us to discuss your requirements or suggestions for school activities.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will only be given if notice of cancellation is received a minimum of 72 hours prior to the day of arrival, for a refund of 75% of the amount already paid, for any bookings outside of the long weekend and summer holiday periods (including Labour weekend, December 24 to February 9 and Easter). Any cancellations under 72 hours at these times will not receive a refund.

Before the long weekends and during the summer holiday period (December 24 to February 9), we require 14 days notice prior to the day of arrival for a refund of 75% of the amount paid. Any cancellations received with less than 14 days notice prior to the commencement of the booked period will not receive a refund.

Any amendments to a booking resulting in a reduction of guest numbers or an early departure will be treated as a cancellation.
Should you no longer require your booking, please inform us in writing via email, as soon as possible.
There is a standard minimum cancellation or amendment fee of $20 applied to all amendments or cancellations. Please email us to view our full conditions and advice about your stay.

Child Policy

Child ages are from 3 to 13 years inclusive - where child rates are offered. There is no charge for children under 3 years old, except in accommodation when a bed or extra bedding is requested.

Check In Policy

Check-in time is from 12noon for campsites and from 2pm for all accommodation on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Late check-outs may be arranged directly with reception where possible. A late checkout fee of $20 per regular site, $25 per beachfront site and $45 per cabin will apply.
If Guests are arriving later than 7pm, we ask that you contact the reception during office hours to make alternative check-in
arrangements.
With the exception of medically certified disability assist dogs, pets are not permitted.
We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we reasonably believe the person:
• is not the person named on the reservation
• is not the person named on the credit card or not be authorized to use the card
• is not able to pay for any additional charges
• may cause damage to the property of the Park or other guests
• may exhibit socially unacceptable behavior
• is younger than 20 years and not accompanied by a responsible person over that age.
• is concealing a dog or other unauthorized animal
We reserve the right to eject guests from the Park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park Rules. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.
