Property Facilities

Octopus Resort has a stunning white sandy beach, with fantastic sunsets, and amazing snorkeling right off the beach, the resort also has a swimming pool.

Our snorkelling and scuba are world class. We have incredibly healthy, vibrant corals and sea-life. Our 30+ dive sites take you to beatiful examples of different scuba adventures.

We run regular trips to swim with manta rays from May to November.

The bar and restaurant have a sand floor, so no shoes needed at meal times.

A daily laundry service is available to all guests for a small charge. There is a telephone available for guests use at the office for making local or international calls. We also have a Satellite broadband Internet Service so you can check your email, and stay in touch with the outside world if you wish.

General Room Facilities

All of the Bures have fans, and private open sky showers wardrobe, and a room safe. Beachfront category and up have Air Conditioning, a balcony, complimentary mini bar stocked once on arrival, wifi, TV, and Movies.

Directions to Property

Octopus Resort is located 27 nautical miles from the Fijian mainland, on Waya Island, the largest of the islands in the Yasawa island group.

The primary method of transfer for 2022 will be by the Yasawa Flyer operated by South Sea Cruises under the brand Awesome Adventures.

The resorts own transfer vessel Aftershock, makes a return trip to the island every day, and will only be available for private charter in 2022 at this stage, with a minimum rate of $499 USD one way for up to 8 passengers for more than this number of guests its $86 USD per Adult and $43 USD per child 5 - 12 years of age.

The boat leaves Vuda Marina (a few miles from the Airport in Nadi) at 9.30 am and then departs the island to make the return trip back to the mainland from Octopus at approx 1 pm. *Please see below notes. The journeys take just over one and 1/2 hours each way and are scheduled to meet many of the flights serving Nadi Airport, allowing the maximum time possible on the island. Air-conditioned minibus transport from the airport or from local hotels is included in the transfer cost.

*As we endeavor to accommodate as many customers as possible by occasionally changing our boat departure times to allow for flight delays for arriving aircraft, the departure time is subject to change slightly between 9 am and 10 am. Departure times from the island to the mainland may vary from 11.30am to 3 pm depending on the needs of the in house guests on the day to account for early flight departures, the vessel will leave Octopus by 11.30am if there are 3 pm flight departures, guests with flights departing Fiji before 3 pm require a specific private charter, or "day before" departure. At other times scheduled maintenance or sea conditions could delay the scheduled departure time.

We ask you to consider airport delays and customs clearance when considering your transfer options.

Additional Information

The island is also accessible on the Yasawa Flyer, which we can organise for you. The Flyer travels all the way up the chain and back each day and can drop you at other resorts too.

Payment Policy

DEPOSIT - To secure a booking a 10% deposit is required at the time of booking.
FULL PAYMENT - Due no later than 40 days prior to arrival.

BOOKING PROMOTIONS please ensure when selecting a promotion this is best suited to you, no exchanges or refunds for the value will be offered once final payment is made.
Resort credits, Gift cards are non-refundable and can only be used while at the island
Resort credits can only be used on Activities, Bar, spa treatments and Diving. Excludes Spa/front desk boutique.
Complimentary massage vouchers will only be honoured with morning bookings 8am - midday

MEAL PLANS are compulsory and must be sold with per night accommodation rates. If no selection is made you authorize our reservations team to add them to your booking based on the number of guests and nights booked.

PRIVACY POLICY is important to us, with accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 you may at any time access and change your personal information or subscribed services. We will not disclose any personal details to any outside party. You will receive updated newsletters and promos as registered on our database, any time you are welcome to unsubscribe.

An electronic receipt will be issued to you after each deposit and/or final payment. This Receipt is proof of purchase.

TRANSFERS to the Resort is offered by a third party supplier. In the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent you from utilising the pre-arranged transfers or delays, cancellations and alterations arise affecting travel plans these are outside of both DHH and the Resorts control, all efforts will be made to advise the most effective alternative options available to you, some extra costs may be incurred.

INSURANCE Travel can be affected by weather, delays and other unforeseeable events. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase extensive travel insurance to cover against any issues that may arise while travelling outside of your home country. In the event there are circumstances outside of Island Travel Network control neither the property nor Distinctive Holiday Homes LLC (BookNGoGo) USA will offer refunds for accommodation, meals or transfers missed.
