Wake up to the sounds of birdsong and surf at our camp, surrounded by beautiful pōhutukawa trees and coastal shrubs. We are a peaceful, pet-friendly retreat, welcoming your pets by prior arrangement.
Choose from a variety of accommodations, including three-bedroom cottages, cozy baches, tourist flats, ensuite cabins, and basic cabins for 4-6 people, with linen hire available. We offer tent and powered sites (please note our dump station is closed for environmental reasons), a camp kitchen, restrooms, free showers, and laundry facilities. Enjoy outdoor BBQs, picnic tables, a trampoline, a playground, and high-speed WiFi.
Take a sunset walk along the cliffs or the beach, play a round of golf nearby, or explore Dargaville’s restaurants and takeaways, just 10 minutes away.
Discover local attractions or visit the beautiful Kai Iwi Lakes and Kauri Forest. Our area is a lovely place to relax, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy your stay with us.
Location / Distances
We're just a short, easy 5 to 10-minute walk to the beach—perfect for morning adventures or evening strolls with the kids (though the walk back might take a little longer with tired feet and sandy shoes!). The local corner shop is only 2 minutes away on foot, great for grabbing snacks or last-minute essentials. If you're a golfing family, the nearby 18-hole course is just a quick 2-minute drive. And for bigger outings, the town of Dargaville is only 10 minutes away by car—ideal for family-friendly cafes, shopping, and local attractions.

From Dargaville, head north 4 km on SH12. Turn left to Baylys Beach we are a further 8km away.
Payment Policy
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due on arrival, or 7 days prior during the peak seaons. For bookings made within 7 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. A 2.5% surcharge applies to all payments.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be emailed to motorcamp@baylysbeach.co.nz, including your reservation confirmation number. A 75% refund will be issued for cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival are not eligible for a refund. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for early departures or late arrivals.
Child Policy
Child rate applies to ages less than 14 years.
