Whole Lodge — Nightly
Whole Lodge bookings comprise the use of the entire lodge which sleeps 13, plus the use of a sleep-out at the bottom of the garden bringing the total capacity up to 15 people.

Welcome to Ghost Lodge
Ghost Lodge is your ultimate Northern West Coast base regardless of time of year. Lovingly renovated and restored, it’s fully insulated and carpeted throughout with a log burner to keep you cozy and warm during winter, and french doors that open out to stunning outdoor areas, allowing for plenty of fresh air flow to keep you cool and comfortable during summer.
The lodge is perfect for large groups, cyclists, motorcyclists on tour, families as well as individual travelers. View the various rooming options on the availability calendar for your preferred date of travel.
Ghost Lodge offers off street parking for cars, boats and bikes. It has beach access and free use of wetsuits, boogie boards and surf boards, so you can enjoy the beach – literally at the bottom of the garden.
And if you’ve just ridden the Old Ghost Road (or the Heaphy Track) there are hoses for washing down your bike and plenty of space to park them. Take a break for a day or two (recover from those saddle sores) and relax at Ghost Lodge before your next adventure.
History of the Lodge
Ghost Lodge was originally built in the 1880’s as a butchers. Immense thought and care has been taken during its rebuild to retain its original charm with recycled native New Zealand timbers being used throughout.

Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival (if not already done so).
Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time.

Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
GROUP BOOKINGS - Damage Bond Payable
Ghost Lodge reserves the right to charge a $500 bond for group bookings. This is in addition to the lodge/room tarrif and is payable prior to check in. Any damages incurred during your stay may be deducted from this bond. On checkout, an inspection of the property will be completed and the bond will be refunded once it has been confirmed there is no loss or damage to the property through the duration of your stay.
Cancellations made 2 or more days before check in date can be made free of charge.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will result in, at a minimum, the total amount for the first night of the booked accommodation being charged.
One nights accommodation will be charged where guests fail to arrive by our office closure time. Special conditions apply to group bookings.
All children are welcome.
It is the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian to ensure children are kept safe during their stay at Ghost Lodge. Please note that the property is set on the beachfront and care needs to be taken.
Beds & Additional Person Charges:
An extra charge will apply for any extra persons
The maximum number of extra beds in a room is 3.
Any type of extra bed is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.
Pets are allowed by prior arrangement.
No extra charges.
Check In Policy
Please liaise with Simon, your host, regarding your arrival time.
Check in is anytime after 2.00pm.
Check out time is before 10.00am.
As you may be sharing the lodge with other guests, please ensure it is left clean and tidy upon your departure.
